Member organizations include community development corporations, loan funds, community action agencies, women’s business centers, community development financial institutions, and small business development centers.

MCM members offer a variety of business development services to microbusinesses such as: outreach services, which recruit existing or potential entrepreneurs; training and technical assistance, helping microentrepreneurs develop skills to plan, market and manage businesses; credit and affordable loans from in-house funds or collaborating banks; asset development and economic literacy, which helps small businesses understand banking practices and savings principles; and ongoing assistance helping new microenterprises meet the challenges of running a business.

Other services include: screening and assessment; personal skills and Internet training; community networking; resource sharing; government certification and procurement help.

MCM does not provide direct services to people starting or expanding microbusinesses but works with member organizations providing such services. Our job is to connect you with them. The information you give us allows us to connect you to services needed or other categories.

In order for us to assist you better, please answer the following questions:

1. Have you been given a small business assessment/analysis?

2. Do you have a business plan?

3. Do you have a business license and the necessary tax forms?

4. Do you have the space and materials necessary to operate your business?

5. Do you need a loan?
