I n 2007, MCM was able to provide a low interest loan to the local entrepreneur/owners of The Crab Place, a seafood business, based in Crisfield. The Crab Place and its subsidiary, www.crabplace.com, are the largest online retailers of Maryland seafood and was named Maryland SBA Small Business of the Year in 2001. Building on the local strengths of crabbing, with the loan, the owners plan to expand the business and promote job creation and career growth for low-income area residents.
